Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Do you have a question about The Wash Studio Concentrated Liquid Bluing?
Below are the most common questions we receive from customers. If you don't find your answer here, feel free to contact us.
Why can't I find The Wash Studio Bluing in my local store?
I love The Wash Studio Bluing for my laundry. What else can I use it for?
Our Concentrated Liquid Bluing is primarily designed to enhance and maintain the brightness of white fabrics. However, some customers use it for other purposes, including:
- Whitening white pet fur (consult with a vet before use)
- Brightening fabrics used in crafts and DIY projects
- Enhancing the brilliance of white sneakers and canvas shoes
- Restoring the crisp look of white table linens and curtains
Always dilute properly before use, and test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
I just tried your bluing and am not seeing the whitening results I expected. Why?
There are a few reasons why results may not be immediate:
- Fabric condition – If your white clothes have yellowed due to years of detergent buildup or excessive bleaching, it may take multiple washes to restore brightness.
- Water hardness – Hard water can reduce the effectiveness of bluing. If you have hard water, using a water softener may help.
- Improper dilution – Bluing must be diluted properly before adding it to your laundry to ensure even distribution.
For best results, we recommend using The Wash Studio Bluing in every wash from the moment you buy white garments to prevent dulling over time.
Does bluing expire?
What are the ingredients in The Wash Studio Concentrated Liquid Bluing?
If you have sensitive skin or allergies, we recommend wearing gloves while handling and avoiding direct skin contact.
I accidentally used too much bluing and now have blue spots on my clothes. How do I fix this?
Don't worry—bluing is not permanent! Here's how to remove excess bluing:
- For fresh stains – Rinse the fabric immediately under cold running water.
- For dried stains – Soak the affected area in a solution of warm water and baking soda (1 tablespoon per litre of water) for 30–60 minutes, then wash as usual.
- For stubborn stains – Use a mild white vinegar solution (one part vinegar, two parts water) and gently rub the stained area before rewashing.
Always test stain removal methods on an inconspicuous area first.
