Bluing has an indefinite shelf life if stored properly. However, because it is water-based, evaporation can occur over time, making the solution more concentrated. If this happens, simply dilute it with distilled water to restore the correct consistency.

• For stubborn stains – Use a mild white vinegar solution (one part vinegar, two parts water) and gently rub the stained area before rewashing.

Yes! Bluing can be safely used on white garments with coloured prints, embroidery, or logos. Because bluing does not remove stains or dirt, but instead adds a subtle blue tint to enhance whiteness, it will not affect coloured details. However, we recommend using the correct dilution and testing on a small area first.

Yes! Our bluing is safe for both standard and HE washing machines. Simply add the diluted bluing solution to the fabric softener compartment or final rinse cycle to ensure even distribution. Never pour undiluted bluing directly onto clothes.
